Digital Humanities Lab

The Digital Humanities Lab develops new methods and systems at the interface of Computer Science and Art History as well as coordinating the Bibliotheca Hertziana's digital infrastructure. Along with members of the lab, the Hertziana maintains a network of researchers and developers, both within other departments and from other institutions.

Together we collaborate on a range of DH projects, including mapping, digitization, computer vision, digital publishing and Open Science. The Bibliotheca Hertziana welcomes fellowship applications from PhD students and postdoctoral researchers working in the Digital Humanities.

Research Projects
The Digital Humanities Lab conducts research into new computational methods for the history of art, with particular emphasis on computer vision, geospatial analysis and open data. Publications of lab members will shortly be listed on this page.
