Curriculum Vitae

She received her M.A. in "Lettere" from the University of Padua; awarded her PhD in History of Art by the University Ca’ Foscari in Venice, later her PhD in Philosophy in Münster. 2001 until 2006 Professor of Flemish and Dutch Art History at the University of Ferrara, teaching in Art History and Methodology of Art at the University of Trento. From 2012 to 2015 Chair of History of Art at the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences Alfter. In 2013 she obtained the 'Abilitation' for the role Associate Professor in History of Art (ASN), which was confirmed in 2020. Since 2010 she has been scientific member of the Kueser Akademie für Europäische Geistesgeschichte and since 2019 also of the Institut für Kunst, Ästhetik und Religion of the Freie Kunstschule – Academy for Arts and Design in Stuttgart. 2020 she was invited to collaborate to the SNF- project "H. Wölfflin Gesammelte Werke". She is member of the Scientific Committee of the journal "Critica d’Arte" and of the Editorial Board "Bibliotheca Cusana". Among the numerous fellowships: Lise-Meitner Fellowship (Austria); Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, LMU, München; Visiting Scholar at the Flemish Academic Centre for Science and the Arts in Brussels; Samuel H. Kress Foundation Grant. Book Award: honour mention Salimbeni Prize for history and art criticism XXX edition 2012. Research focus on Humanism and Renaissance art and theory.
