Alexander Sushinsky, M.A.

The research project aims to describe and analyze the counterfactual artistic practices based on parafiction, fake hybrid structures, fictive archive reconstructions within historical and political manipulations in the late XX–XXI centuries. Counterfactual artistic practices being delved into so-called “post-truth“ disposition unveil and show the crucial issues and contradictions of reality overall. For the reason of better specification, the term ‘fakeology‘ was specially invented to set up and provide the theoretical approach in studying fiction-based practices.
