She works under the supervision of Professor Michelle O’Malley on a project that investigates art patronage in L’Aquila, the northern outpost of the Kingdom of Naples, in a period that follows the destructive earthquake of 1461 until the definitive Spanish seizure of the city in 1529. Rossella holds a master’s degree in Art History (2011) from the Università degli Studi dell’Aquila and a Graduate Degree in Art History from the Scuola di Specializzazione of the Università di Roma Sapienza (2017). She holds the qualification of 'Tecnico Qualificato in Gestione di Musei e Pinacoteche' from the first level Specialisation Course in Management and Conservation of Cultural Heritage at Palazzo Spinelli, Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro, Florence (2012). In L’Aquila, she worked as archive assistant (2016–2019) in the project of study and constitution of the Archivio Storico della Provincia dei Frati Minori d’Abruzzo supervised by Andrea Maiarelli, which led to the publication of a part of the inventory. She collaborated with the Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio per L’Aquila e i Comuni del Cratere (2019–2020) on a campaign of research and cataloguing of works of art located in ecclesiastical buildings damaged by the 2009 earthquake (uploading data on Sigec-web 3.00, the standard database platform of the Italian Ministry of Culture).
