Curriculum Vitae

Ana Redondo Plaza is a PhD student in Art History at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and her thesis project is supervised by Dr. Rocío Robles Tardío (UCM) and co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Juan José Lahuerta Alsina (UPC-ETSAB). She studied a master’s degree in Contemporary Art History and Visual Culture, where she had the opportunity to participate in the collective curating of the exhibition Modernidades extraviadas: Bauhaus y España at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. This interest in modernity continued with her internships at Museo Novecento (Florence) and at Peggy Guggenheim Collection (Venice). Alongside her research on the interwar period, she became interested in the contemporary artistic context. After working with the artist Cristina Lucas in the research and organization of her individual exhibition at Sala Alcalá 31, she has not lost her contact with contemporary art. She worked in an art gallery; co-founded, during confinement, a platform for artists; and recently she was a researcher at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo in Madrid.
