Víctor Martín García studied Fine Arts (B.A.) and Art History (M.A.) at the Universidad Complutense (Madrid). He holds a Master degree in History of Contemporary Art and Visual Culture from the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Universidad Complutense and the Universidad Autónoma (Madrid), dedicating his research project to Cuban film production. During 2018 he was part of the research group "En los márgenes del arte. Tentativas de emancipación", hosted in the Sala de Arte Joven of the Comunidad de Madrid.
He is currently working on his PhD project at the Universitat Politècnica of Valencia. This project deals with the practice of found footage and compilation cinema, focusing in particular on the different audiovisual manifestations capable of creating alternative narratives of history and memory, suggesting new discursive hypotheses through the reinterpretation of the characteristic images of this type of production.
