Mapping globalism. Geographical imagination, cartographic reason, and spatial practices of planetary consciousness in geo-aesthetic perspective
Tommaso Morawski, Ph.D.
The project is an attempt to investigate the cartography of globalization in a philosophical perspective. It focuses on the connection between the production of world-maps and the imaginative construction of global spaces of experience. Its aim is to examine the social epistemology of global linear thinking looking at the transformative character of Western planetary consciousness under the lens of a geo-aesthetic approach to cartography.
