Vita

John Rattray studied History of Art and Architecture at the University of St Andrews and at Magdalene College, University of Cambridge, where he focused on the emergence of architectural modernism in Britain. He has worked at Ingleby Gallery in Edinburgh, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice and, most recently, in the Director’s office of The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. Since 2018 he has been a freelance editor specialising in academic art-historical texts written by non-native English speakers. At the Hertziana, he oversees English-language publications in Francesca Borgo’s Lise Meitner group and in the central publications office.
