How to find us
Situated in the heart of Rome, close to the Spanish Steps, the Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History is easily accessible by public transport.
By underground
Metro line A to Piazza di Spagna ("Spagna"). From the main railway station (Termini) take the metro line A (direction Battistini) and exit the train at the stop "Spagna".
By bus
The nearest bus stops are on Via del Tritone. Coming from the main railway station Termini, take the stop Tritone/Barberini; coming from the Vatican Tritone/Fontana di Trevi.
By plane
From Fiumicino airport
Fiumicino airport has its own railway station. The Leonardo Express Airport Train takes 30 minutes to reach the center of Rome (Termini). From there, see above.
From Ciampino airport
There are several bus services (ATAC, Terravision, Cotral or Schiaffini) offering direct transfers to the main railway station Termini. From there, see above.
