Curriculum Vitae
Tobias Teutenberg studied art history, philosophy and German Literature at the University of Kassel (BA), the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, the University of Augsburg and the École normal supérieure in Paris (MA: "AISTHESIS. Historische Kunst- und Literaturdiskkurse"). From 2012–2015 he held a PhD scholarship of the Gerda Henkel Foundation. He then worked as an Assistant Professor at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and as an Assistant to the Director at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte, Munich. In 2019 his dissertation Die Unterweisung des Blicks. Visuelle Erziehung und visuelle Kultur im langen 19. Jahrhundert was published. Since May 2020 he has been working on the SNF-project "Heinrich Wölfflin – Gesammelte Werke", where he is in charge of the edition of the Kunstgeschichtliche Grundbegriffe (eng. Principles of Art History). Since November 2021 he is also working as a scientific assistant in the department Weddigen.
