Curriculum Vitae
Elisabetta Scirocco studied Italian Philology and Art History at the
University of Naples Federico II. She received a PhD in Art History from
the same University (2010) and a Master's Qualification in Translation
from the Scuola Superiore per Mediatori Linguistici, Vicenza (2011). She
has been research collaborator of the PRIN-Project Per un atlante informatico della scultura a Napoli in età angioina e aragonese
at the University of Naples Federico II (2004–2005), doctoral visiting
researcher at the Humbolt University Berlin in 2009
(Sonderforschungsbereich 640 Repräsentationen sozialer Ordnungen im Wandel, Teilprojekt C5 Topologie der Erinnerung. Neapolitanische Adelsgrabmäler als Netzwerke der Selbstdarstellung), postdoctoral researcher in the ERC-Project FP7/2007–2013 HistAntArtSI in 2013–2014 (Historical
Memory, Antiquiarian Culture, Artistic Patronage, Social Identities in
the Centres of Southern Italy between the Medieval and Early Modern
Period), and Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin at the Max-Planck-Institut für Bildungsforschung (Berlin), Research Group Geschichte der Gefühle (2015).
She
held a doctoral fellowship from the Italian Ministry of Education,
University and Research (MIUR) and a postdoctoral fellowship from the
Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici of the University of Naples Federico
II. She contributed to a digital project dedicated to textual sources
for Neapolitan Art History (16th–19th centuries) in collaboration with
the Fondazione Memofonte (Florence), and participated in the concept and organization of the exhibition Florenz! (Bonn, Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, 21.11.2013–9.04.2014).
From
2010 to 2015, she has been part of the Department directed by Prof. Dr.
Gerhard Wolf at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in
Florenz–Max-Planck-Institut, as Wissenschaftliche Assistentin and
Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin; she is currently affiliated to the same
Department for the project Storia dell'arte e catastrofi: l'Italia sismica (sta-sis), initiated together with Gerhard Wolf and Carmen Belmonte in 2014.
She
is invited lecturer in History of Medieval Art at the Masaryk
University of Brno (WS 2012–2013, 2014–2015, 2016–2017) and voluntary
assistant to the chair History of Medieval Art (Prof. Dr. Vinni
Lucherini) at the University of Naples Federico II. In 2019, she has
been Hans Belting Visiting Fellow at the Center for Early Medieval
Studies, Brno.
Since 2015, she is member of the core academic staff
of the Department III at the Bibliotheca Hertziana, directed by Prof.
Dr. Tanja Michalsky.
