Early Modern Intermediality II
The aim of the seminar is to evaluate the usefulness of various concepts of intermediality derived from a modern literature on the subject in constituting a history of early modern media. To this end we are bringing together senior scholars of early modern art who have already been working on these themes, though not in these terms, alongside younger scholars whose research focuses on intermedial questions.
Participants are asked to present a case-study, works of art in a variety of media and across Europe and the Americas, to test the terminology. This seminar follows an international conference held at Stanford University in March 2018 co- organized by Fabio Barry and Evonne Levy and is in collaboration with Stanford University.

The workshop is by invitation.

Researchers with a strong interest in the subject who would like to attend should inquire in advance to Evonne Levy (levy@biblhertz.it).

Confirmed participants: Evonne Levy (organizer), Fabio Barry (co-organizer), Tristan Weddigen, Joris van Gastel, Yannis Hadjinicolaou, Pedro German Leal, Esther van der Hoorn, Morgan Ng, David Zagoury
