Curriculum Vitae

Flaminia Ferlito is an art historian graduated at Sapienza University of Rome. She is pursuing a Ph.D in Analysis and Management of Cultural Heritage at IMT- Institute for Advanced Studies in Lucca. Her research primarily focuses on the history and preservation of the cultural heritage associated with the Fondo Edifici di Culto (FEC) department of the Ministry of Interior Affairs in Rome. Specifically, she explores the dispersion of FEC's religious patrimony in the art market between Italy and the US following the italian anticlerical laws in the post-unitary timeframe. Flaminia conducted case studies from prominent museums on the West and East Coasts during her time at the University of California, Berkeley (2023) and Columbia University in New York (2024).
From September to December 2025, Flaminia will conduct her research project at Palazzo Butera in Palermo and the Bibliotheca Hertziana as part of the program “Viaggio a Palermo”, promoted by the Michalsky Department in collaboration with Fondazione Palazzo Butera.
