"Fidelissimae Urbis Neapolitanae […] accurata et nova Delineatio" (Barratta 1627/1670)  

Alessandro Baratta's plan is characterized by its prominent title, a particularly detailed design of the individual buildings, and extensive paratexts. In addition to the legend identifying the buildings, there are text boxes under the depiction of an equestrian procession recounting key events in Neapolitan history, thus relating the history of the city to the urban space depicted in the map.
