The Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History opens its doors to the public and offers guided visits of Palazzo Zuccari and the modern library building.
Visitors will have a chance to learn more about the frescos of Palazzo Zuccari as well as the scientific research conducted by the Bibliotheca Hertziana. Each 45-minute visit is guided by Hertziana researchers and may slightly vary in content.
The visits are free of charge and are conducted in Italian. All visitors must be in possession of a valid EU COVID certificate (Green Pass in digital or paper format). Admission is individual and possible only with a protective mask covering mouth and nose, worn at all times while inside the building. Upon entering the building, the temperature of every visitor is measured and they must submit their telephone number.
Visits are scheduled on these dates:
- October 16, 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
- November 6, 9 a.m and 10 a.m.
- November 27, 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
- December 11, 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.
- January 15, 2022, 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Reservations must be made through our electronic booking system.
The visit will also feature items from the exhibition Fore-edge Painting, organized by MACRO - Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Roma (28/9/2021 – 23/1/2022).
