Ex Libris Twombly

Curriculum vitae

Jamie Danis is the Leverhulme Postdoctoral Fellow at the Bibliotheca Hertziana, where she is completing Ex Libris Twombly, a monograph offering the first comprehensive bibliographic record and interpretation of Cy Twombly’s extensive personal library.

Jamie completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2025, where she was a King’s College and Cambridge Trust Scholar. Her PhD research focused on silence as a political strategy in American art from 1947–2008. She previously earned her B.A. in History of Art from the University of California, Berkeley summa cum laude and her M.A. from the Courtauld Institute of Art with High Distinction. She has held positions at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, and Kettle’s Yard, University of Cambridge.
