Vita

José Gabriel received his bachelor’s degree in fine arts at PUCP (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú) Lima, Perú, where he subsequently did a Masters in Art History. He is currently developing his doctoral dissertation under the supervision of professor Fernando Loffredo (Stony Brook University). He has also published several books as an artist and illustrator, and his visual work closely dialogues with his research on renaissance engraving traditions.
