Curriculum vitae

Ana Plosnić Škarić studied Art History, Latin Language, and Roman Literature at the University of Zadar and Zagreb. She received her MA and PhD from the University of Zagreb with a dissertation on Gothic residential architecture in Trogir (Croatia). She is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Art History, Zagreb, and Richard Krautheimer Fellow 2024 at the Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History, Rome. She was the PI of the project “Dubrovnik: Civitas et Acta Consiliorum. Visualising Development of the Late Medieval Urban Fabric (DUCAC)”, founded by the Croatian Science Foundation (https://ducac.ipu.hr/project/). As the editor of the book Mapping urban changes / Mapiranje urbanih promjena, Zagreb, 2017, she was awarded the Charter for the Development and Promotion of Art History by the Association of Croatian Art Historians. In 2018-2019, she participated at the Getty Foundation Summer Institute Visualizing Venice Advanced Topics in Digital Art History: 3D and (Geo)Spatial Networks, organised by Duke University NC, USA, Università di Padova, and Venetian International University. From 2011 to 2019, she was a Member of the Editorial Board of Radovi Instituta za povijest umjetnosti [Journal of the Institute of Art History], and in 2023, a Member of the Advisory Board of Renaissance Quarterly Journal.
