Vita

Quim Solias is a PhD candidate in Hispanic Languages and Literature at Stony Brook University, working under the 
supervision of Fernando Loffredo. He was trained as a historian at the Universitat de Barcelona, where he also completed 
an MA in History and Identities in the Western Mediterranean. He has held research appointments and fellowships at 
institutions including the Université Gustave Eiffel and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He is member of the “Empires, 
Environments, Objects” Max-Planck Partner Group 20222027 by Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Lima and Kunsthistorisches  Institut  in  Florenz,  as  well  as  the  “Redes  de  información  y  fidelidad  (REDIF):  mediadores  de  la Monarquía Católica y formación de saberes entre espacios locales y globales (siglos XVXVIII)” group financed by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación of the spanish government. His work has been published in journals and edited volumes, and he has extensive experience in university teaching, cultural management, and public humanities. He is a cofounder of the Textualities in Hispanic Early Modernity (THEM) Digital Humanities Lab.
